Advantages of PET Twist Film over PVC Twist Film:
1. As a food packaging material, PET twist film meets all national health standards and is certified by the US FDA, guaranteeing safety and compliance.
2. PET twisted film showcases excellent twisting performance without rebound, achieving the same twisting level as PVC twisted film.
3. With high twisting strength and outstanding stiffness, PET twist film can achieve an impressive packaging speed of over 1800 pieces per minute on automatic candy packaging machines. This boosts the productivity of candy packaging equipment by more than 30%, far surpassing the best PVC twist film that only reaches 800 pieces per minute and is susceptible to twists.
4. Due to its high twisting strength and stiffness, PET twist film can be as thin as 23μm or 19μm, with a slightly lower material density compared to PVC twist film. This significantly enhances material utilization. In contrast, PVC twist film must exceed 28μm thickness to maintain adequate strength and stiffness for aluminum plating, printing, and twisting applications.
5. PET twist film is produced using a biaxial stretching process, ensuring stable quality, uniform thickness, and high mechanical strength across batches. It supports high-speed printing and aluminizing, boosting productivity and achieving a finished product qualified rate of over 99%. Conversely, PVC twist film's calendering and casting production methods result in poor film thickness uniformity, low mechanical strength, and frequent issues like wrinkles and film breakage during printing and aluminizing, impairing the quality.
